The entire Jizera Mountain area is ideal for hiking. Well marked hiking and cycling tracks will take you to five peaks with an altitude of more than 1000 meters above sea level, the Jizerka settlement, several peat bogs and small lakes, the monument to glass and costume jewellery in Kristiánov, the hunting lodge at Nová louka or to the Černá Nisa and Josefův důl reservoirs, for example.

In winter, the entire area from Bedřichov to Horní Polubný and Kořenov is criss-crossed by many kilometres of cross-country skiing tracks with different levels of difficulty.

If you do not belong to this visitor category, but would still like to get to know our region, you will be able to find inspiration in our useful Tips for 7 Days which include recommended trips. If you have already been to our region or if you plan to stay here for more than just a few days, you can head beyond the boundaries of our regions to any of the popular tourist destinations in the environs of the Jizera Mountains.

A dense network of observation towers is a popular tourist attraction in our region. Most of them were built at the beginning of the 20th century by Czech or German hiking clubs and they are usually accessible by bus or car.

You can also visit the Černá studnice ridge. The Nisa River rises at its base, while its highest point is Černá studnice where you can find a restaurant and an observation tower with a splendid view.
