Mountains and forests within reach

When walking in Jablonec, you can find yourself in the forest before you even know it. The Jizera Mountains practically commence right behind the city. You can head off into the mountains along the marked hiking tracks, on cross-country skiing trails or on cycling tracks. The tram line to neighbouring Liberec also even passes through a forest, which is unique in the Czech Republic! If you head south from Jablonec, you can follow the Jana and Josef V. Scheybal Educational Trail all the way to the Bohemian Paradise! You will find yourself in a region which is significantly warmer, a region of fishponds, cliffs, beech forests, precious stones and castles …. Thanks to its location, Jablonec nad Nisou is accessible both from Prague and from neighbouring Germany and Poland.
