Jablonec nad Nisou and its environs became an international centre for glass and costume jewellery production at the end of the 19th century. The renown of internationally famous brands such as Swarovski or Riedel began to be written here. The past, but also the incandescent present of the Crystal Valley can best be experienced during a visit to the modern exhibits at our Museum of Glass and Costume Jewellery. You can purchase contemporary products in a number of boutiques which can be found throughout Jablonec. They not only offer finished costume jewellery, but also beads which you can use to make your own products. Proof that this heritage is still alive is the inscription of handmade glass on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
