The Decorative Arts Secondary School and Specialist Upper Secondary School trains artists who specialise in costume jewellery, metal jewellery, three-dimensional engraving, graphic design and medallion work and as such it is part of the Jablonec family silver.
It was established in 1880 in response to the needs of the developing costume jewellery industry. Originally, the craft school focused on teaching drawing, modelling and chasing, but this was gradually expanded to include training for the professions of girdler, engraver, decorator and manufacturer of bronze items. The Specialist Upper Secondary School was established in 1995 and it offers studies in minting medals and coins in response to the requirements of the developing medallion industry. The Jablonec Decorative Arts School has trained a wide range of significant personalities in the Czech art scene. supsavos.cz
