Yet another thing which the inhabitants of Jablonec are envied for is the option of putting on their skis after work and heading straight out onto the trails! The biathlon and skiing facility, which is regularly used for training by our national team members (Ski klub Jablonec and SKP Kornspitz Jablonec), is located not far from the Jablonec Reservoir at an altitude of 600 m above sea level and it is also available to the public for use. The cross-country skiing trail forms a “circuit”, according to which the sports facility has received its name. The 4 km trail is lit after dark. The trail is also maintained with the help of artificial snowmaking equipment. If the snow conditions are favourable, the groomed trail continues up into the Jizera Mountains. Recreational sportspeople cannot ski there, of course, when it is being used as a venue for biathlon and skiing races. However, the public is welcome to attend these events as spectators!
It is prohibited to enter the facility by car in the winter months. We recommend that you use the car park at Rybářská bašta or the short-term parking in K Rybárně Street.
