Beads are created in thousands of colours in our region as a result of the hard work of the local glassmakers. The craft continues to live on here today and some companies enable visitors to view their workshops and even to try making their own products. You will see for yourself why handmade glassmaking is inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
